Lion and the Lamb
36x24 Acrylic
This painting reflects one of Scripture’s most powerful and paradoxical truths: Jesus Christ is both the mighty Lion of Judah and the gentle Lamb of God. These two images—seemingly opposite—come together to form a complete and unified portrait of His nature.
The lion, rendered with strength, fire, and regal presence, symbolizes Christ’s authority, victory, and kingship. He is the conquering Messiah prophesied in Genesis 49:9 and proclaimed in Revelation 5:5, the One who will return in power to make all things right. His gaze is steady and resolute—a reminder that nothing can stand against His rule.
Nestled against the lion is the peaceful, unblemished lamb. This tender image represents Jesus’ sacrificial love, humility, and willingness to lay down His life for humanity. The Lamb of God takes away the sins of the world through gentleness, surrender, and grace—a theme that echoes through John 1:29 and flows throughout Revelation.
