Rattle

24x30 Acrylic

This painting draws inspiration from Ezekiel 37 — the vision of the valley of dry bones — where God breathes life into what was once dead. The composition splits between life and death, symbolizing the tension between spiritual decay and divine restoration. On one side, Christ’s crowned face reflects sacrifice, hope, and renewal; on the other, the skull represents humanity’s mortality and the desolation of separation from God.

The word “Rattle” carved in light signifies the divine command that awakens the bones — the sound of revival echoing through despair. The vibrant eye on the living side contrasts the hollow socket of death, illustrating the transformation when God’s Spirit enters lifeless places.

“Rattle” embodies resurrection power — the moment when hopelessness trembles under the voice of God, and dry bones rise again as a living army. It’s a call to remember that no soul, no situation, and no nation is too far gone for revival.
