Cherubim
36x48 Acrylic
This painting draws inspiration from Revelation 4, where the Apostle John describes four living creatures surrounding the throne of God — the lion, ox, man, and eagle — each representing aspects of divine majesty, strength, wisdom, and sovereignty.
Unlike the cherubs of popular art, these beings are powerful symbols of eternal worship and vigilance. Their eyes, covering every surface, reflect complete awareness — nothing escapes the gaze of heaven. Their wings convey both reverence and readiness, always poised to carry out God’s will.
Through movement, light, and layered texture, the piece seeks to capture the awe of God’s throne room — a realm of ceaseless praise where creation itself exalts the holiness of the Almighty. The swirling energy and radiant color echo their unending song:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”
